Emmy Exclusive: Be The First To Step Into Derek Lam & Audi’s Green Room!

Even though he's fresh off the jet from NYFW, there's no lag to be had for Derek Lam! In addition to just getting hitched, this morning the designer made a splashy announcement that he and Audi have united to design the famed green room for Sunday's Primetime Emmy Awards (yanno, where just about every star will sit their behinds).
The rad, innovative collab is so mayj that it's been pretty insanely on the DL — we even signed a confidentiality clause, and our lips have been painfully sealed for a week! When we dashed down to L.A. Live in the wee hours this morning for a sneak peek at the wrapped pod (meant to channel the interiors of the luxe German auto fleet), we found an impressively slick space. In a silly way, we were half expecting it to resemble the madras, plaids, and poppy paillettes we just saw on the runways, but it's understatedly — yet still glamorously — elegant (think look eight rather than 30). It's a perfectly refined bachelor pad sort of space, the kind you hope all of your dates own!
Before hitting the stage, nominees like Jon Hamm, Lena Dunham, and Michelle Dockery (go Downton Abbey, go!) will soothe their nerves (and maybe even get rowdy?) on the comfy velvet couches set amidst sexy accent pieces (just wait until you see the Deco divider), and we're sure the bar will be packed with exotic requests. As for Mr. Lam, he'll already be back in the Big Apple in his jammies, glued to the tube like the rest of us.
Read (and see) more about the space, and find out if this means more interior collabs for Lam in the future, in our exclusive interview with the designer, right after the jump!
