From Missoni for Target to a Rodarte-designed Starbucks mug, it's not uncommon for designers to delve into other realms besides fashion. But, we've got to hand it to Monique Lhuillier for one of the most unique — and charming — day-job deviations: The gown guru has created a dollhouse that's an exact replication of her NYC bridal salon.
And, it's not just for kicks — the miniature construction will be up for auction at tonight's Kaleidoscope Ball benefiting Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA. The architects Richard Manion and Robert Meiklejohn, plus a slew of interior designers like Jeffrey Alan Marks and Estee Stanley, worked on the other nine dollhouses that will also join the bidding block. So, if you're one of the lucky ten to put down for a (doll)house, you're guilt-free, because 100% of the proceeds go towards the UCLA Children's Discovery and Innovation Institute. Though we often daydream about our wardrobe matching the mini merch, we think this tiny atelier is just as covetable!
