For a young designer, winning the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund is like winning American Idol, but instead of getting a contract with Simon Cowell, you get to cozy up to labels like Swarovski, J.Crew and Vogue.

For 2012's winners — Greg Chait of The Elder Statesman and runners-up Tabitha Simmons and Jennifer Meyer — J.Crew has put together a limited-edition capsule collections by the three designers.
