A store opening is a store opening if you know what we mean. But not when it comes to Maiyet's first ever brick-and-mortar boutique. No, since this brand has mastered sourcing material from remote and unexpected places in order to "promote prosperity and dignity in places that need it most," it's a new and local way to interact with the ethical world of fashion at large. Like the brand, the space is modern and minimal, but high-end and totally artisan-based. And the 2,500-square-foot shop has it all: jewelry, accessories, shoes, and ready-to-wear. On top of that, there's Jaipur block printing, Kenyan horn-and-metal work, embroideries from Ahmedabad, and hand-woven silks from Varanasi." Sounds like one walk worth taking.
