Talk About Vintage: Lancôme Is Reissuing A Lipstick From 1955

Um, hello gorgeous: This lipstick from Lancôme's holiday collection is just about the prettiest thing we've ever laid eyes on. (This week, anyway.) Let's start on the inside and work our way out, shall we? Lest we just begin shouting all the things we love about it at random (which is tempting).
The lipstick, called Rouge Etincelle, is a luminous, true red. It goes on like butter and has just the right amount of shine for a holiday party, but not too much that it departs from our favorite matte look. And, if the color looks classic, that's because it's literally a classic: It's a reissue of a 1955 heritage lipstick. Only this time around, we get to see it photographed in color.

Oh, and that case? Yeah, those are teeny tiny Swarovski Crystals lining it — just on the off chance anyone needs reminding that this is one product too special to just get tossed into our makeup bags.
The collection is limited-edition, so get on this beautiful lipstick while you still can. We'd say it would make a good gift, but is anyone really capable of buying something this pretty and letting it go?

Lancôme Rouge Etincelle, $75, available in mid-November at Lancôme.
