We can do a lot with our makeup: change our look, highlight a certain feature, attract attention...the list goes on. What our list doesn't include, though, is the ability to, um, control drones. That's apparently simply because we're not Katia Vega, a computer scientist who has developed makeup that can literally activate electronics. Wait, what?
This cutting-edge beauty technology is allegedly body-safe, and uses voluntary body motions, like a wink, to indicate intentions. That means that someone wearing the metallized eyeshadow or lashes can control electronic devices by moving her eyelids. It's like how Google Glass lets you take a picture with a tap, only infinitely cooler.
It's definitely a see-it-to-believe-it situation, so we highly recommend you check out the video. While this technology isn't on the market yet, our imaginations are running wild with possibilities. Not that a solid beauty look isn't useful on its own, but the thought of being able to light up our hair with the blink of an eye (you'll see) is pretty exciting. (New Scientist)
