Maybe it's from growing up surrounded by "seasonal decor," but silver-snowflake window decals and reindeer table runners don't really do it for us. And, if you're in the same set of folks who can't stand plastic holly garlands and glitter-cotton snowdrifts but love this time of year as an excuse to get some nice, new stuff, this Nate Berkus x Target "holiday" collaboration is for you. When we asked Berkus about his latest collab, he described his love/hate relationship with seasonal decor: “Here’s the thing: I’m sort of torn on it. Part of me gets the excitement of holiday decorations (I can especially get behind it especially if kids are involved). And, then part of me is tired of people spending money on things that live in cardboard boxes 362 days of the year. When I sat down with my team to think about what holidays meant for me and how I decorate my home, it was always about buying a couple new pieces to mix in with what you have to make it a little shinier and festive without being overly-traditional, cartoonish, or child-like. I have a lot of respect for people who find an extra $20 to spend and chose to revamp their homes during this time of the year. For me, that means you should be buying things for the times you don’t have the energy to completely redecorate your house. These pieces are meant to be out year-round. They look just as beautiful in May as they do in January.”
Amen, Nate. With flashes of gold, luxuriously textured textiles, and housewares that will look as good in July as in December, the holiday collection includes products that will jibe with a variety of decor styles, which means low-stress gifting for you. And, with most items priced under $35, the line also makes it hard to avoid tit-for-tat gifting (you know, one for you, one for me). Click through to see (and shop!) the full Target collection.
