Chicagoans have been counting down the days to the opening of Mario Batali's Eataly, and now, the wait is finally over. The 63,000-square-foot food paradise officially opens today, which means any attempts to start a detox after a holiday weekend of debauchery are going completely out the window.
But, wheels of cheese and pasta sauces like mama used to make aren't the only vices you'll find here. According to Jezebel, Eater Chicago reports that there is a Nutella bar on the premises, one complete with "little snacks" smeared with that chocolate-hazelnut goodness. Just look at it this way: Consuming one decadent treat (a crepe perhaps?) on site is better for your waistline than consuming an entire jar (one mind-blowing spoonful at a time) at home — or, so we tell ourselves.
