Does it feel like you haven't shaken it like a salt shaker in like seven years? Well, that's because it's been almost that long since Outkast split up. And, while we've enjoyed the solo ventures of Andre 3000 and Big Boi, we shed a small tear every time we hear the poetry that is "Roses." Can't they just make it work? Luckily, the duo will reunite for Coachella this year. And, New Yorkers will also get a taste, too, since Outkast is set to headline the 2014 Governors Ball. This will be its first New York appearance in over a decade.
Earlier this year, Rolling Stone asked Andre 3000 about the possibility of an Outkast reunion. The artist was vague in his response: "Things are kind of up in the air with me, and some days, I feel like yeah, I'll do it. Some days, I feel like, I don't. I don't know the future of music right now. I have no idea what I do. I honestly don't."
How you toy with our hearts, Andre. Luckily, we'll be seeing Outkast on Randall's Island come June. The rest of the Governors Ball lineup is still TBA, so we'll just bide our time by singing "Miss Jackson" foreva-eva every day. (Rolling Stone)
