Hunter Boots Make A Splash At London Fashion Week

Hunter, the British brand responsible for putting the humble Wellington on fashion’s front line, is set to make its London Fashion Week debut. WWD reports the heritage label will showcase the Hunter Original winter '14 collection with a runway show on February 15. This expanded line (which will include outerwear, knitwear, and accessories) is just one part of Hunter's new strategic plans. It will launch Hunter Field in spring 2015 to build on the current range of technically specialist products (imagine footwear for riding, mucking about the stables, and pretending you're a member of the Crawley clan).
“Hunter was born out of a passion to innovate, advances in manufacturing techniques and a British thirst for discovery. The future vision for the brand is to celebrate that pioneering spirit and the brand’s rich heritage, making it relevant for today’s customer,” explained creative director Alasdhair Willis in a press release.
Alongside a business overhaul, the brand is also set to unveil a shiny new master mark logo for the fall season, accompanying the rectangular Hunter Original and Hunter Field logos. So, does this announcement mean we’ll see the fashion set pacing between shows in Wellies? Well, if it is good enough for Kate Moss, it's good enough for us. (WWD)
