Ever hear about technology like Google Glass and wonder when it's going to personally do something for you? Like, "That's cool and all, but it's not as if it's coming to my house to do my hair or anything." Okay, well it kind of is. The amazing technology has partnered with Matrix for a series on online hair tutorials designed to help give you a better hair day.
Matrix just announced a partnership with Google entitled Matrix Class for Glass, a series of tutorials shot from the stylists' perspective. The first-of-its-kind partnership will launch over the next two months in three phases : a video series starring well-known beauty bloggers exploring hair trends; an opportunity to be styled by celebrity stylist George Papanikolas while he wears the technology, with participants receiving their video post-service as a personalized at-home tutorial; and, The third phase, in April of this year, to educate salon professionals on new techniques via online tutorials.

It's unlikely the tutorials are going to put top beauty video bloggers out of business anytime soon, but it's a technology we can get behind. After all, step-by-step tips and techniques shot by the stylist from their own perspective is genius and can explain the details of how and why better than before. Until they come up with a way for salon professionals to do our hair virtually, this seems like the next best thing.
What do you think: genius or gimmick?
