According to a recent interview with 60 Minutes, Jay Leno admitted that when he saw Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake do one of their famous dance routines, he thought "I can't do that," and knew it might be time to step down. Well, that's not the only thing that The Tonight Show's new host can do better than his predecessor. Fallon shows a real talent for striking a pose in these ancient, long-lost modeling shots from the early aughts.
Okay, so he's not exactly Baptiste Giabiconi, but Fallon's boyish good looks and smoldering glower show a certain adeptness for the lens that's uncommon for most comedians. But, the real gem here is the incredibly cheesy Calvin Klein ad that Fallon himself addressed in a 2001 interview with Paper magazine.
“I really snuck that one in there. When it was all done, no one made fun of me or anything. As a comedian, you don’t really think that you’re good-looking, so when someone asks you if you’d like to model Calvin Klein, you’re like, ‘Oh my God, yes — yes, I want the billboard to be right over the Improv.’ I wanted people walking in to be like, ‘When is it all going to end for that guy? He is the luckiest man on earth.’ I mean, this is ridiculous.”
