It was only a few years ago that Katie Holmes was able to cross "launch a fashion line" off her bucket list. But, as her rep has recently confirmed, Holmes & Yang, the collection designed by the actress and her stylist Jeanne Yang, is now no more.
Debuting in 2009, the line was greeted with excitement by the industry and fans, selling at both Barneys and Harvey Nichols, reports British Vogue. However, the designers did not present a new collection last Fashion Week, and it's no longer stocked in stores, either. The reason for the split between Holmes and Yang is unclear, but there is one factor that seems possible: location. Katie resides in New York with daughter Suri, while Yang is in Los Angeles.
It's possible, though, that the split might be due to a shift in Holmes' priorities. The actress has been busy in recent years raising her 7-year-old daughter and revisiting her acting career — and she shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, Holmes is set to wrap three films in 2014. And, while some suggest that more personal differences came between Yang and the actress, these rumors haven't been confirmed. For now, be sure to hold on to whatever Holmes & Yang gems you may have purchased over the years — they're now a thing of the past. (British Vogue)
