In just five short days, we'll be able to get our hands on the buzzy Divergent soundtrack. But, as patient as we like to think we are, five days just feels like too long to wait for a mix of this caliber. We've already heard Snow Patrol's powerhouse track, and may or may not have listened to Ellie Goulding's "Beating Heart" so much that it's already the most-played song in our iTunes libraries. To say we're itching for more would be an understatement.
Well, well, well, happy Friday to us all! The Divergent gods heard us ask for more, and more we shall have! The album is streaming in full over at Pitchfork Advanced. In addition to M83's celestial track are entries from Kendrick Lamar, Pia Mia, and Chance the Rapper — each one more empowering than the last. Goulding dominates with an impressive four tracks that made the cut. (The folks behind the movie have pegged the "Lights" singer as the musical voice of Shailene Woodley's Tris character.)
It's an infectious menagerie of sounds that'll carry you through the weeks between now and the film's March 21 release. Head on over to Pitchfork to hear it all. Now that we know how powerful we are, what should we wish for next?
