Love The Ocean? Not As Much As Davidoff Does

If there's one thing we can always get behind, it's when beauty products come with a healthy dose of philanthropy. So, when we heard that fragrance giant Davidoff was partnering with the National Geographic Pristine Seas Expeditions for the third year in a row, we were pretty stoked. It's called the Love the Ocean campaign, and it's all about saving our fish friends.
This month, National Geographic Pristine Seas is diving off the coast of Mozambique, where they'll document the natural habitats of manta rays, whale sharks, dugongs, and more. It's considered one of the healthiest reefs in East Africa. Past dives include the Pitcairn Islands and Gabon, where National Geographic is working to establish a marine protected area.
So where does Davidoff come in? In July, the brand's iconic Cool Water fragrance will be launching a new version, dubbed Night Dive. Each bottle sold will represent the protection of 100,000 square feet of ocean. And, that's no drop in the bucket, if you catch our drift. Since Cool Water is an ocean-scented fragrance (it has notes of lavender, peppermint, jasmine, sandalwood, and cedar), we're sure a whiff of Night Dive will have us dreaming of sublime swims with manta rays. And, since this stellar partnership is helping keep our waters safe, who knows? Maybe a romp with our deep-sea friends isn't too far off.
