Update: Santa Monica-based Blaze Modelz offered Meeks a $30,000 contract, according to TMZ. The agency previously said “gangster models” are hot this season.
Jeremy Meeks, the “Hot Felon” pictured in the mugshot seen ‘round the Internet, has signed with a Hollywood talent agent. “Gina Rodriguez, who has guided the careers of Teen Mom-star-turned-porn-star Farrah Abraham, Nadya ‘Octomom’ Suleman, and most recently, V. Stiviano, the woman at the center of the Donald Sterling scandal, now represents the 30-year-old convicted felon with chiseled features and dreamy blue eyes,” writes a breathless FoxNews.com.

Rodriguez told the site that she’s already shopped him around to four production companies and three modeling agencies, and White Cross Management, in particular, is impressed. She understands that “everyone is reporting on how he’s a criminal, and he doesn’t deserve [fame], and he’s got this past gang affiliation, but that’s just it — that’s the key word, that’s his past.” She went on, “I think that if he has a chance to have an amazing career, and change his life for his family, that’s the ultimate rags-to-riches story.”
And, the ultimate Colbert Report segment. Last Monday, the Comedy Central program predicted Meeks’ possible foray into modeling. “He could be making a meaningful contribution to society, like walking back and forth on an elevated platform looking bored about his cape,” host Stephen noted. Plus, the fashion community seems to be anticipating his arrival. Several days before that, the Wall Street Journal’s Meenal Mistry tweeted, “So has Riccardo Tisci cast this guy yet for next week’s Givenchy men’s show?” Sadly, almost surprisingly, Meeks didn’t turn up — though, he’s being held in the San Joaquin County Jail on 11 felony counts at $1.1 million for bail, so there's that.
