The Shia LaBeoufs of Hollywood may still be giving Tinseltown a bad name, but there are some celebrities who are restoring our faith in humanity. A far cry from the Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton-laden headlines circa 2006, YourTango says that "the celebrity starlet circa 2014 is kind. She's considerate. She puts others before herself. She is — get this! — nice."
The site goes on to give a few examples of leading ladies who have found themselves in the news for positive reasons. For instance, word spread last week that Amy Adams gave up her first class seat to a soldier. When asked about the good deed by reporters, the humble actress said, "I didn't do it for attention for myself. I did it for attention for the troops."
Amy Poehler also gave up her first class seat a couple months ago, giving it to a mother with her newborn. And, back in 2011, Mila Kunis accepted a soldier's invitation to the Marine Corps Birthday Ball in North Carolina. We think we could get used to this kind of Hollywood star. Hey, we'll take a feel-good story over a no-underwear shot any day of the week. (YourTango)
