The Summer Event You Don’t Want To Miss Out On

Picture this: You, me, a gift bag of awesome beauty freebies, and a makeup artist at your beck and call to make your flawless-skin fantasies come true. Sound like a fairy tale? It's not — it's just Saks' annual Beauty Editor Day and you are cordially invited to come along on this pampering journey.

For those of you who haven't been marking your calendar counting down to this day, we'll assume it's because you haven't yet been introduced to its majesty. Allow us to fill you in: Every year, the Look Good Feel Better organization pairs up the top beauty editors with some of your favorite beauty brands to offer one-on-one consultations and hangout sessions. This year's event is taking place on August 7 at the Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store in NYC.

Look Good Feel Better is an organization dedicated to helping cancer patients to improve self-esteem and confidence by giving them the tools to deal with the appearance-related side effects of their treatments. In its third year, the Saks Beauty Editor Day promises to be epic this go-round, with publications like Vogue, Allure, The Cut, and yours truly making an appearance alongside brands like Shiseido, Tom Ford, and NARS. Our partner for this year is Burberry Beauty — yes, we know, we were stoked, too. We live for Fresh Glow.

Now, this is where you come in: From noon to 7 p.m. on August 7, Karina Gonzales, resident makeup artist for the Burberry Beauty Counter, and I will be doing one-on-one sessions. Karina will be showing you the secrets of faking a flawless complexion, and I'll be on-hand to answer any and all burning beauty questions, from what it's like to wash your face with honey, to which acne-zapping cream is really a miracle-worker. It's like a real-life beauty AMA!

So, how do you partake in this wonderful beauty experience? We're taking appointments in 20-minute increments, starting at noon and ending at 7 p.m. Head to the registration page, click on the Refinery29/Burberry dropdown, and sign up for your preferred time slot. Registration costs $30 and all proceeds will be donated to Look Good Feel Better.
