As Pierre Buttin sat beside his girlfriend on the couch each night and endured 30 minutes of cringe-worthy puns, he couldn’t help but wonder, “What brands were mentioned the most on Sex and the City?” (Or, so we surmise.) The multimedia artist pored through the show’s six seasons and cataloged all instances of brand-name-dropping, which he put together in this clip. And, he compiled the mentions in alphabetical order. What a Charlotte!
According to the description, “[T]here are 324 different brands and 838 total occurrences.” Vogue leads the list, uttered on 36 occasions, closely followed by martini (34 times). Yankees (26 times), Knicks (25), and The New York Times (24) earned spots, and a smattering of designer labels rounds out the top 10: Manolo Blahnik (16), Dolce & Gabbana (15), Prada and Post-it (14 for both the fashion house and everybody’s preferred sticky notes), Chanel (13), and Gucci (12). Odd that cosmos didn’t rank; however, this isn’t an exact science. (British Vogue)
