Anna Wintour might have already bestowed one of the greatest fashion honors on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. But, after today, designer Ashish Gupta comes in a close second as far as we're concerned. While Kimye was not technically in attendance at today's London Fashion Week show, the runway did pay homage to the #worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple. Specifically in sequin form.
Among Ashish's runway of bedazzled pieces — the designer's specialty — were Kris Kross-like backward jeans and sweats too blinged out for Sunday errands. But the pièce de résistance was definitely a sweatshirt with two familiar, glittering faces.

Even without Kim and Kanye on hand at LFW, there was really no mistaking which couple Ashish chose to feature in his spring '15 collection. And, as far as sequin art goes, the designer's piece bears a fairly uncanny resemblance to the incomparable twosome.
We'll admit it's not entirely shocking that Ashish chose Kim and Kanye as cultural icons for his ready-to-wear collection, but we're surprised that the couple didn't think of it first. Did anyone consider personalized Kimye sweats for their wedding day? Did Kanye not ponder a self-portrait instead of a George Condo for Kim's Hermès bag? Either way, here's hoping that a set of custom sweats is making its way to the couple ASAP. There's a major meta fashion moment we'd love to see play out.
