NARS Holiday Collection Is Here & It Is GLORIOUS

Last year, NARS launched their insanely epic, wildly colorful, and practically instantly sold-out Guy Bourdin holiday collection, which was inspired by the iconic photographer’s sexy-chic take on ‘70s glamour. So, this time around, the brand had some serious shoes to fill — and luckily, we think they’ve done it, to glorious and dazzling effect.
Enter Cutting Edge Color, a new collection inspired by architectural designer Chris Kabatsi’s digital Nebula print. The motif is emblazoned on everything from gift boxes to palettes, nail polish caps to lipstick tubes, embodying everything that’s exquisite and exclusive about limited edition, collectible makeup goodness.
“The pattern combines architecture and design with beauty and fashion, all things I am very passionate about,” says the brand’s founder, François Nars. “I love the idea of using something abstract and incorporating it into beauty.”
To do so, he “wanted to reinvent lace in a modern way,” focusing much of the efforts on the exterior packaging. As for the color palette, it’s all about “neutrals with a great pop of red and some metallics...very festive.”
Featured in the lineup are two new, limited formulas: Hardwired Lipstick and Eyeshadow. Both feature cutting edge pigments with enhanced texture, thanks to a brilliant shine for the lips and an intense iridescence on the eyes.
But, brand loyalists, don’t be fooled into thinking it’s all about newness: “The gifting collection has some classic products and shades like Roman Holiday and Laguna, but they’re presented in beautiful compacts and keepsake boxes — they're like pieces of art,” Nars says. “[It] has this energy and mystery about it, which I love.”
Keep clicking to see all the glorious new launches and get ready to start making your holiday wishlist — or should we say NARS list...
