On the heels of her hot-button decision to pull her entire discography from Spotify, Taylor Swift touched down in Japan wearing a decidedly uncontroversial minidress. In a preppy plaid print with a sweet Peter Pan collar, it's the kind of piece that's polished for the paparazzi, but casual enough even if you aren't the best-selling recording artist in recent history. Best of all, it's just $100 from Miss Patina.
Embracing fast-fashion brands is nothing new for the singer. Swift was spotted in a bevy of budget-friendly looks last week while doing press for her latest, 1989. Even though the album is on track to totally annihilate sales records, Swift still knows a good deal when she sees one. To complement her schoolgirl-inspired dress, she wore loafer pumps from & Other Stories (an H&M spin-off ) and a $50 Aldo bag that's been a permanent fixture on the crook of her arm for weeks.
Just like that, Swift manages to make herself even more likable. Click on to get the look from head-to-toe.
