If you've ever flipped through a J.Crew catalog, you know that women swoon over more than the clothes. Sure, the sweaters and perfectly tailored pants are worth talking about, but it's those models' gorgeous-but-not-perfect hair and makeup that holds our attention.
The brand revealed the secret to the "J.Crew model glow" just last March, and it's now blessing us with a full makeup line from the man responsible for those signature looks we catch ourselves drooling over every season.
Troi Ollivierre, J.Crew's longtime makeup artist, is sharing his talents with the masses, starting with a collection of lipsticks. The line is made up of six bold and beautiful lip colors — four of which you can pre-order on his website, while the other two (Parker and George) are exclusively available at J.Crew. And, of course, they are already on back order.
On the inspiration behind the line, Ollivierre told T Magazine, "I felt like a lot of the matte colors on the market tended to be dry and heavy, so I wanted to create a highly saturated, pigmented, matte, luxe lipstick that is moisturizing and feels weightless." So, basically, the unicorn of lipsticks. The man knows the way to our hearts, that's for sure.
