Why Did Kim K Crop North Out Of This Selfie?

Update: Kim Kardashian has responded to the widespread Internet outrage over the photo she posted where she cropped out daughter, North West:

Now we know it's not North flashing an Illuminati sign. She's just doing what babies do, being a baby.

We already know that Kim Kardashian spent yesterday being a cool aunt and mom. She took her nephew Mason, niece Penelope, daughter North, and a few of their tiny tot friends to see Frozen on ice. We assume they had a great time — after all, who doesn't love a Disney spectacle on ice? They also documented the day on social media, though, so fans would know they truly let it go and had some fun.

Kim shared photos of herself with birthday boy Mason, all of the moms and their kids, and the incredibly stylish children holding hands in a way that will melt your heart. One of the photos Kim shared raised a few eyebrows, though. In it, she's giving the camera her best blue steel. She's also incredibly off-center because North has been cropped out.

Commenters were quick to slam Kim for cutting North out of the photo, but perhaps she had a reason for doing so. Allow us to play Wikipedia Brown for a second so we can investigate The Case of the Cropped-Out North West. Below are a few hypotheses for the mysterious photo editing.

1. North was flashing the Illuminati symbol.

2. Kim Kardashian, she who doth declare that she loves to share her world with fans, had a complete crisis of confidence and in that moment decided to hide her child's face from the public.

3. North was wearing a black fur vest yesterday, and the blacks on blacks on blacks made the photo too literal for her father, conceptual artist and lyricist Kanye West.

4. Kim's actually not that great at using the photo sizing tool. She meant to crop out the black wall to her left. Whoops.
