Ariana Grande Dyed Her Hair

There is a mystique surrounding the mane of Ariana Grande. For so long, it has been her signature — a half-up, blonde ponytail, normally adorned with an exposed elastic and kitten ears of some sort. It is the constant in this diva's aesthetic, as recognizable as her octave-defying voice. That's why we were shocked — nay, flabbergasted — when she let her locks down. Is this the beginning of a new chapter? we wondered. Is she preparing for a major makeover?

Now, she's changed it up once again: Ladies and gentlemen, Ariana has dyed her hair back to dark brown. The announcement came in typical Ariana fashion, via a demure, innocent-but-not selfie taken while she was "snuggllled up." She was, of course, merely showing off her current state of bedhead — but she politely added an aside that she's reverted to her original "haiiiiirrrr" color. (All spellings are hers.)

Granted, the chocolate-brown suits her. (Also, her eyebrows are looking excellent.) What can we rely on, if not Ariana Grande's hair? Perhaps, a larger transformation is on the horizon. Say, a "piiixiiiiie" cut? Only time will tell.
