True Detective has a habit of subjecting its stars to follicular makeovers. Matthew McConaughey got a ponytail and a stache. Woody Harrelson got a hairpiece. If Rachel McAdams' recent airport appearance is anything to go by, the season 2 star is getting into character with a choppy, dip-dyed bob.
Yesterday, the Canadian actress landed at LAX with a considerably shorter 'do featuring dark roots and blonde tips. With filming on True Detective's second season underway, we can only presume that the makeover is tied to her role as Californian sheriff Ani Bezzerides. We were kind of hoping for some big '80s hair in keeping with the show's new timeframe, but c'est la vie.

Knowing McAdams, the 'do won't last long. This gal's gone through just about every hair color in the rainbow, including pink and Regina George blonde. In other words, wait a beat before printing out this pic and taking it to your hairstylist.
