12 Future Supermodels — Spotted On Instagram

Gone are the days when young model wannabes might hope to get scouted in an airport (like Kate Moss) or eating at McDonald's (like Gisele Bündchen). These days, casting agents are increasingly doing "digital castings" on Instagram — which means you can rest easy in Mickey D's, as long as your latest selfie is on point.
While brands like ASOS and Marc by Marc Jacobs have used Instagram to cast campaigns recently, now major modeling agency IMG is getting into the game with its new account, We Love Your Genes.
Started three weeks ago, the account asks aspiring models to tag their photos #WLYG for the chance to be scouted. Digital scouting is a boon to both scouts and would-be models, as Jeni Rose, IMG's VP of scouting, told Fashionista: "[Models] no longer have to spend lots of money on photo shoots or portfolios." Meanwhile, she says, scouts no longer have to log countless air miles, "hoping to be in the right place at the right time."
As a result of the campaign, IMG has already signed 12 new faces, and promises there will be more. We Love Your Genes now has over 6,000 followers and nearly 16,000 posts to the hashtag — that's a lot of faces for any casting agent to comb through. So, to help out, we scoured the tag for the most promising new faces we could find. Click ahead for the new generation of models-slash-social-media-stars, soon to be hitting a runway near you.
