Yep, that right there is Kris Jenner's youngest daughter sporting dreadlocks. The photo she posted on Instagram is too grainy to really suss out if they're real or a wig, but Jenner's not normally one to shy away from a dramatic hair look.
The problem here, of course, is the cultural appropriation involved. Dreadlocks are a traditional Black and Rastafarian style, one steeped in culture and racial identity. Jenner isn't the first white person to adopt the style, and she won't be the last. At least two of her sisters, Kim and Khloe, have sported cornrows in the past, so she may see this as normal hair experimentation.
It's fine to experiment. Still, Jenner must understand the symbolism of the dreads she's sporting. If she wants to celebrate the Rasta culture and is ready to make a statement, so be it. If she's just flirting with yet another hairstyle that she'll soon tire of, she's got to be prepared to take some heat. Anyone else wondering what Kanye will have to say?
