A few weeks ago, Columbia University announced that Amal Clooney would be joining its faculty as a visiting professor this spring. So, now in addition to being a badass attorney who fights for human rights, she’ll also be teaching bright young minds to do the same. Obviously, Amal's life's work is not to pass along sartorial wisdom, but she sure knows a thing or two about donning workwear — while still looking so, so cool.
Yesterday, she was spotted on campus in a super sophisticated monochrome ensemble, smartly punctuated with playful multicolored slingback pumps. She wisely rejected the old no-white-before-Memorial-Day rule in an eggshell pencil skirt and matching high-neck top. Over that, she layered a wool Burberry trench in a slightly warmer shade than the rest of her outfit. She finished off her look with patterned pumps, a bright red purse, and lipstick in the exact same hue. The best part? You can get the whole look, ahead — even if you don’t have a law degree.
