Tamagotchi Is Making An Exciting Comeback

Finally, everyone’s favorite handheld pet has been resurrected. Tamagotchi, the incredibly popular toy from the late '90s, has found its new home in the Apple Watch. In April, the Tamagotchi Classic app launched for iPhone, and now it's also available for the Watch. This means that for only 99 cents, you could be responsible for a digital pet once again. Users can “take care of your Tamagotchi's needs directly from your Apple Watch, like sending it to the restroom or feeding it,” according to the app’s page. Plus you’ll have the ability to “check your Tamagotchi's status at a glance.”  Though it could be in your hands once again, don’t expect it to be exactly like the beloved toy. The Watch version of the app is a "lighter" version, and for things like playing games with the pet, it might not be your best bet. Still, this feels like the perfect marriage between new and old tech. Gotta go, my Tamagotchi is hungry.
