Think pastel is out the window in favor of more subdued hues? Allow the queen of pop to obliterate that notion. Madonna has officially joined the pastel mafia. Color guru Danny Moon posted the above snap to his Instagram, showing off an array of shades now in Madge's mane. The color swap is for Madonna's upcoming music video for her single "Bitch I'm Madonna," Moon told us. "She'd seen my work [at Andy LeCompte salon] and wanted to do something similar," he said. The colors are a mix of light and dark pink, black, and neon orange, which Moon painted in hard lines. "People tend to go soft with color, especially pink," he explained. "I wanted to do it differently — sophisticated and sexy." As for what working with Madonna was like, Moon confirmed what we already believed in our hearts to be true. "She's a total badass," he said. "We gave her options on what to do, and she just went for it." That sounds like the Madonna we've always loved. With this killer hair, we think we'll dub her queen of badasses.
