Giuliana Rancic Awkwardly Asks J.Lo Why She’s At The Billboard Awards Solo

Forget about #AskHerMore. Giuliana Rancic took a decidedly regressive #AskHerLESS tactic when she interviewed Jennifer Lopez on the red carpet at the Billboard Music Awards. The interview actually seemed like it was taking a more positive turn when, following a few questions about J.Lo's mostly illusion netting dress, Rancic switched to inquiries about Lopez's work. She asked the singer about both American Idol as well as her just-announced upcoming performances in Vegas. Right when we were ready to file this one as an #AskHerMore victory, though, Rancic had to go and ruin the whole thing.  "You riding solo tonight?" she inquired. "Yes, I am," the surprised Lopez responded, looking somewhat flabbergasted by the question. "No one hiding back there? No? No one you're meeting inside?" Rancic continued, looking around for a mystery date who might be crouching in the nonexistent shadows. "Not right now. Maybe," Lopez tried to laugh it off. "Maybe later," Rancic said, before dismissing Lopez from the interview. Seriously, there were a zillion other questions Rancic could have asked Jennifer Lopez. The singer's date to the BBMAs — or lack thereof — is nobody's business but her own. Plus, it got super awkward when Rancic tried to imply that Lopez was hiding a companion somewhere. What even was that interview? Ask her more, Giuliana. Please.
