Sure, both songs are quintessential Taylor Swift, packed full of the kind of catchy pop melodies and witty one-liners aimed at ex-boyfriends that can get stuck in your head for days. But did you ever realize Swift's "Bad Blood" and "We're Never Ever Getting Back Together" went together just so well? We do now, thanks to this delightful new mashup video, "We Are Never Ever Getting Bad Blood."
Opening with the singer in full on Catastrophe mode, belting out "Bad Blood" while landing atop the blue convertible that had some referencing Thelma and Louise, the video quickly cuts to a pajama-clad Swift singing about breakups, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"-style. But as the lyrics continue without missing a beat, the footage quickly shifts back to the cameo-filled "Bad Blood." And back again. And again. We didn't even realize those songs had room for improvement until now. The only drawback is that this version drops all of Kendrick Lamar's "Bad Blood" verses. Feel free to rock out on repeat; we just did.
