There are certain things you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy, let alone a 27-year-old woman with four children. Imagine that your husband confessed to molesting young girls as a teenager. Imagine standing by him, then, months later, when he admitted to using Ashley Madison to pursue extramarital affairs. Imagine him revealing a pornography addiction. Imagine continuing to stand by him — and staying silent. Sources have told People that that's exactly what Anna Duggar's experience has been. While most women would kick their cheating husband to the curb and file for divorce, the young mother is reportedly unwilling to challenge her publicly disgraced partner, Josh Duggar. "She doesn't get mad," a source close to the Duggars told the magazine of the former 19 Kids and Counting star's reaction to her husband's infidelity. "You are not allowed to get mad. It's not godly for a woman." "Ever since she met [the Duggars], she has acted more like [Duggar matriarch] Michelle," the source added. "She talks like her, really soft. She, like, whispers." Though Anna's brother, Daniel Keller, took to Facebook this week to slam her husband for being a "pig" who has "brought disgrace" to his family, People's source says she continues to live an isolated life with the Duggars. "It's scary," the person shared. "I don't know who is talking to Anna or how she is dealing with this. Aside from Duggarville…no one can get to her." "[The family is] telling her Jesus forgives, Satan is trying to attack your marriage, that kind of stuff," the source continued, adding that he or she did make an effort to set Anna straight. "I looked at her and said, 'You have not absorbed everything yet. You are going to be pissed off, and you are going to be angry. You are going to want nothing to do with him. You may not be feeling these emotions yet... But at one point, you will.'" Anna is in a truly sad situation. We can only hope she gets the support and strength she actually needs — and that Josh gets a swift kick in the balls.
