Taylor Swift Facing Lawsuit From DJ

Sometimes, the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate. Sometimes, they're just going to hire lawyers. CNN reports that David Mueller, a former Denver DJ known as "Jackson," has filed a lawsuit against Taylor Swift in U.S. District Court. Mueller maintains that he was fired from his DJ job after he was accused of grabbing the pop star's bottom at a 2013 concert. According to Mueller, he and girlfriend Shannon Melcher had a photo taken with Swift, but he did not touch her inappropriately. "The contention that Mr. Mueller lifted up Ms. Swift's skirt and grabbed her bottom, while standing with his girlfriend, in front of Ms. Swift's photographer and Ms. Swift's highly trained security personnel, during a company-sponsored, VIP, backstage meet-and-greet, is nonsense, particularly given that Ms. Swift's skirt is in place and is not being lifted by Mr. Mueller's hand in the photograph," the lawsuit said, referring to the image showing Mueller and Melcher with the singer. "[In] the photograph, Ms. Swift is smiling and hugging Ms. Melcher," the suit continued. "Although Mr. Mueller's hand is behind Ms. Swift and therefore not visible, it is clear that her skirt is in place and is not being lifted by Mr. Mueller's hand. Similarly, Ms. Swift's hand is behind Mr. Mueller and therefore not visible." The photo in question has not yet been made public. Team Swift, however, is standing by its version of events and downplaying any role Swift may have had in Mueller losing his job. "The radio station was given evidence immediately after the incident," a spokesperson for Swift told Refinery29. "They made their independent decision [to fire Mueller]." Stay tuned as more details unfold.
