Pope Francis Is Releasing A Rock Album — No, Seriously

Thus far, Pope Francis' visit to the United States has been pretty eventful. He broke protocol and hugged a little girl during a procession. He schooled congressional Republicans on everything from kindness to climate change and immigration issues. He also gave a pretty great shout-out to badass workers' rights advocate Dorothy Day. But perhaps the most surprising highlight from this week in papal history? Today, it was announced that the pope will release an iTunes album with his words and prayers set to music in November 2015. Appropriately titled "Wake Up!" the album seems primed to be a popular download, and not just among registered Catholics. You can preview the title track below, premiered by Rolling Stone. The devotional single will especially appeal to Bon Jovi fans who are also into choral music. The pope's vocals don't chime in for about a minute and a half, so you've got plenty of time to sink back into some guitar-heavy instrumentals. Also: You can pre-order your copy on iTunes as of today. Watch out, holiday album hopefuls.
