Netflix’s Newest Invention Is Basically A “Netflix and Chill” Button

Netflix really wants you to "Netflix and chill." According to E! News, the company unveiled a prototype at the 2015 World Maker Faire that will help you unwind in preparation for some binge-watching — and whatever else you want to do alongside it. The invention is a button that will dim the lights, silence your phone, gear up your Netflix account, and even order takeout. Netflix calls it "The Switch," but a better name might just be the "Netflix and Chill Button." Going one step further, the company even listed step-by-step instructions for making your own. But, casual Netflix and chillers beware: It looks like it involves some technical skills and serious commitment to build. (And knowledge of infrared patterns and microcontrollers.)
