Frizz season is just around the corner. While we're welcoming the warmer temps with open arms, we aren't so quick to embrace the muggy spring mornings that leave many of our manes looking like balls of fuzz. But, that's exactly what the ladies at the Alexander McQueen fall 2015 show were sporting. And, we have to say, it's certainly chased our frizz-phobia: We're digging the cloud-like halo look in a big way.
"I created this very fluffy texture, and then sculpted the hair into different shapes based on what looks best with each girl's face," says lead stylist Guido Palau. "The finished look really draws attention to the face and enhances each girl's natural, individual beauty." He created the full-bodied style by wrapping strands around U-shaped hairpins. He clamped the hair between a flat iron to set it, let it down, and then did some heavy backcombing. A mist of Redken Forceful 23 Spray finished things off. The result is an ethereal, cotton-candy concoction on the noggin. We can imagine tossing up our strands into this 'do on our it's-about-to-rain-but-hasn't-yet-dammit days.
To complement the ultra-femme mane, makeup artist Pat McGrath focused on heavy contouring, red-tinted eye makeup, super-glossy lips, and white mascara. That's right: The models blinked ivory. We love how wide-eyed and fresh the avant-garde move made them appear. And, we can't wait to play around with this one — you should, too.
The fluffy-cloud motif, combined with those heavenly lashes, was a beauty hit in our book. How about yours?
