With all the hoopla over '50s pin-up glamour making a comeback and Beth Ditto gracing the inaugural issue of LOVE, it's about time the curvier gals made a comeback on the editorial pages. After all, whatever happened to Marilyn Monroe's busty beauty gracing the cover of every rag imaginable? Well this new editorial, shot by Luis Sanchis and styled by our good friend Wayne Gross for Australian Harper's Bazaar, features "plus-size" model Crystal Renn striking up a proud pose in sexy bustiers, strappy dresses, and sheer lingerie. Wayne calls it an 80's-inspired shoot that felt reminiscent of Terence Donovan, what with the luscious lips and cream-perfect skin. And you know what else? Crystal used to be anorexic, and is now proof that being comfortable in your own skin is always more attractive.
