The Canadians are coming! The Canadians are coming! No need to fear though, because—being Canadian and all—they're coming in the most polite way possible: to open a great store in the heart of SoHo! Aritzia, the Vancouver-based women's boutique, is opening its first ever Manhattan store in May at the Gap's old SoHo digs. Although Aritzia isn't completely new to the U.S. (it already has seven stores in the U.S., including ones in Dallas, San Francisco, Portland, and Chicago), the SoHo flagship will be the mother of them all. At 10,000 square foot and two floors, the behemoth promises to be a wonderland of the chic, reasonably-priced goodies Aritizia is known for. In the meantime, to get everyone hyped for the opening, Aritzia will be hosting a "Shop Before the Shop" pop-up at 524 Broadway featuring items from in-house brands like Wilfred and Wilfred Free, Le Fou, Talula, A Moveable Feast, T Babaton, and Aritzia's own line, TNA. So grab your Tim Horton's coffee, pump up the Robin Sparkles, and head to Aritizia, eh?
Aritzia "Shop Before the Shop", open Monday-Sunday noon to 6 p.m., Fridays noon to 8 p.m., 524 Broadway, 3rd Floor (at Spring Street).
