The beauty looks from Chanel's most recent spate of shows is leading us to wonder: Is wearing your jewelry on your face going to be a new thing? First there were those weird pearl "warts" at the spring '12 show, followed by the necklaces-as-head-ornaments in the pre-fall collection, and now, fall '12 brings us — drumroll, please — bedazzled brows.
Chanel's global creative director of makeup, Peter Philips, is the man responsible for these avant-garde beauty looks and from what we can see, he has a serious fixation with all things bling. The sequined strips he placed over models brows created a new kind of bold arch, one that was definitely unique and different from those that have come before it. But, while we adore thick coats of glitter on our nails, we're not so sure how we feel about sequin-studded brows. Sure they look cool, but would this be something you would consider trying IRL?
