This may sound nuts coming from a pack of beauty editors, but shopping for makeup can sometimes suck. Finding a product that looks fantastic on you can be a challenge in its own right. But, once you find said magic miracle, you get to the register and you're asked to hand over half your paycheck. Because, you've got to spend a ton of cash to look great, right?
Not so. To prove it, we gave members of our beauty team a budget of $30 each and sent them out to a favorite beauty spot. One visited a drugstore, another a beauty store, and the last a fast-fashion retailer with a beauty department to put together a full face of makeup on the cheap. And, while it may have been a challenge, we were all pleasantly surprised that finding cosmetics on a budget wasn't impossible.
