You can bet we're overexcited to thumb through this one! Our new book obsession comes straight from Todd Selby, the illustrator and portraitist behind creative-spaces chronicle, The Selby, who's focused his lens on the interiors of the world's artistic and intellectual dynamos and captured their inner psyches in the process.
In his new book,
The Edible Selby
(related to the concept of his eponymous blog), the photographer proves that the same awe-inspiring images can come from the kitchens, gardens, and restaurants of the culinary world's biggest talents.
Unsurprisingly, his cunning, documentary eye definitely doesn't stumble over the different material, and individualism remains his primary subject. Using his patented format of images paired with handwritten questions, the book takes you to Tokyo for a bite with Susumu Kainuma, then jets off to nosh on nordic goodness with René Redzepi. Ultimately, the plan is that you'll land right smack into the mind and matter of each visionary, just minus the whiplash. Plus, each profile also comes with a signature recipe, so you can take a stab at culinary greatness yourself.
