Adele Turns Down A Boatload Of Money, Gains Even More Of Our Respect

Just when we thought we couldn't possibly love Adele more, she goes and does something like this: The Telegraph is reporting today that Adele was offered the opportunity to replace Cheryl Cole as L'Oréal's UK ambassador, to the tune of £12 million, which she turned down.
Apparently, the singer had been involved in lengthy negotiations with L'Oréal, but ultimately decided to decline. A source told the Telegraph that the brand was "gobsmacked" by the singer's refusal of the deal, and the huge sum of money that went with it. Rumor has it (har) that the notoriously private singer has been approached by many brands for endorsement deals, and has refused every time. But, we're guessing that this massive deal is one of the biggest that she's ever turned her back on.

We have to say that we're impressed that Adele is willing to resist temptation (and gobs of money) to protect herself and her private life instead. The spotlight can be seriously damaging — especially for young stars like Adele, who is only 25 — and we respect the English beauty for doing what's right for her. Guess they'll just have to find someone like you. (The Telegraph)
