With all due respect to Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan's epic photo powers, Ellen Page and Jennifer Lawrence are quickly becoming the X-Men stars to watch. Happily, each lady brought her A-game to last night's New York City premiere of X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Page, who returns as Kitty Pryde, worked her signature androgynous style on the red (er, black) carpet. Though her coming-out speech on Valentine's Day mentioned the flak she'd received for dressing in a masculine style, the pint-sized actress exuded class in her suit and tie. Long, loose waves and patent leather boots completed the confidently chic ensemble.

In contrast, Lawrence went the glam route in a slinky velvet Jason Wu gown in Mystique blue. The Oscar winner paired the sexy gown with Jimmy Choo heels, Ana Khouri jewelery, and a Kotur clutch. Click through to see the outfit in full.

Lawrence opted against walking the carpet with costar and boyfriend Nicholas Hoult, which may have been a mistake. The famously clumsy star nearly stumbled on stage before taking a group photo, but managed to avoid a full faceplant. Phew.
Sporting a lovely sideswept bob, Lawrence also tried to downplay her status as an "it girl." "I think they tell that to every actress," she told us, adding, "I would just say I'm very tired."
Guess those Mockingjay Part 2 shoots are taking a toll?
