UPDATE: Morgan underwent surgery Sunday for multiple injuries, including a broken leg, a broken femur, a broken nose and several broken ribs. "While Tracy remains in critical condition, he has been more responsive today, which is an incredibly encouraging sign," said a statement from his rep. "We expect him to remain in the hospital for several weeks. His family is tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans."
UPDATE: Authorities have confirmed comedian James McNair, more endearingly known as Jimmy Mack, has died following this morning's car accident. McNair was one of Morgan's close friends and fellow comedy writers. He was 63.
UPDATE: Morgan's rep Lewis Kay released a statement saying the actor remains in critical condition. "His family is now with him and he is receiving excellent care. We don't anticipate much of a change in his condition today but will provide a further update once more information becomes available," says Kay.
Tracy Morgan is in critical condition following a six-vehicle car accident. The crash, which took place in Cranbury, New Jersey, happened earlier this morning. According to Us Weekly, the actor was traveling in a limo bus, which overturned north of Exit 7A on the New Jersey Turnpike at approximately 1 a.m. Saturday morning. State Police report two tractor trailers, two cars, and one SUV were also involved. Morgan is now in intensive care at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick. Authorities have confirmed one person in Morgan's limo has died, while three others are in critical condition and one in fair condition. The comedian was reportedly on his way home from a stand-up gig at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Delaware. We'll update you as more information becomes available. (UsWeekly)
