When flash mobs first appeared on the scene they were kind of the 'It Trend'; groups of people surprising mall-goers with their less than notable dancing skills and goofy enthusiasm. Then people used the gatherings to issue marriage proposals and/or find YouTube fame—even aiming for an appearance on Ellen.
As they are officially mainstream, music producer extraordinaire Timbaland is bringing in an LA-based flash mob production company (those exist?) and choreographer to Miami for what may just be the most extravagant flash mob ever. Practice for the event will begin on Friday, April 30 at 3:00 p.m.: If you want in on the location you’ll have to sign up. For the rest of us who would prefer not to visually scar the world with our terrible moves, we'd better stay on our toes. Who knows where this crowd might, uh, flash up?
