There’s An NYC Film Festival Dedicated To Cute Cat Videos

cat-film-fest
Rejoice crazy cat ladies and lads! There is a film fest coming to town that will tug at the heartstrings for those who use their lunch break to YouTube "funny cats in hats" or "kitties playing with yarn." Chat D’œuvres will premiere at the Anthology Film Archives this weekend, October 14 and 15. The kittie-centered mini film fest will be an art-heavy presentation with European and U.S. films "that feature our international cat brethren." Take along your BFF (best feline friend) to get cultured with documentaries of Mondrian, Duchampo, and Calder playing with cats, and the grand finale of Miranda July's stray-cat-narrated The Future. Purchase your tickets for $12, with proceeds benefitting the cat rescue and adoption group KittyKind. Your little fur ball will thank you later. (Gothamist)
