We love us some J.Crew, but picking up all of our wardrobe odds-and-ends from retail outposts can get expensive. Especially during the summer months, when every spare penny goes toward our beach-vacay fund, our budgets don't really allow for tons of sartorial splurges. Luckily, we stumbled across this oh-so-fabulous (and super-easy!) DIY bracelet project over at Washingtonian.
The mag's resident fashion journo has step-by-step instructions (and photos!) to teach you how to make your own version of J.Crew's cloth wrap bracelet, the perfect summer accessory for everything from a street fair to a pool party. The best part? The retail version of this arm candy will run you a staggering $22, but the DIY version costs less than $2. So, shake out your piggy bank, head to your local craft store, and get the (arm) party started.
