You'd think that smartphones would have made all kinds of things obsolete by now, from wristwatches to digital cameras to stereos, and yet apps have never quite managed to take the place of the real thing. Despite this being the age of selfies and forward-facing cameras, hand mirrors are everywhere these days, not for vanity’s sake but for their ability to make any desktop or dresser look more styled and considered.
